Reily Niitav is an Estonian-born artist who has been living and working in Finland since 2009. Driven by a lifelong passion for colour and creative expression, Niitav formally began her dedicated practice in acrylic painting in 2020. Her artistic practice is defined by a deep curiosity and an experimental approach to materials, often incorporating recycled elements into her canvas works.
Niitav’s process is inherently intuitive and guided by emotion. However, she intentionally leaves the specific narratives of her work unspoken, believing that the true beauty of art lies in the personal connection it creates. This allows each viewer to experience the canvas through their own unique perspective and feelings. It is precisely this commitment to open interpretation that draws her so strongly to the world of abstract art.
